a message about covid-19
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, families, and staff. Children will still need medical care for illnesses and injuries. We also strongly believe that routine preventative care with well visits and vaccinations remains important to each child's overall health and prevention of COVID-19. Our office has remained open throughout the pandemic with several precautions. You will notice several changes to our policies and procedures:
- WAITING ROOM/CHECKING IN: After you check in at the front desk, we will briefly seat you in one of the waiting rooms and wait to be called by one of our staff members, who will take you back to an exam room. We have a waiting room for well patients and a waiting room for sick patients. We are diligently sanitizing the waiting rooms to help prevent any spread of illness. If you enter the check in area and someone else is checking in, we ask that you wait 6 feet behind them or wait outside our door until they have been seated. You are also always welcome to call us from your car before entering.
- VISITORS: For each child's visit, we ask that you have as minimal people as possible attend the clinic with you. Siblings and other family members should stay home whenever possible, but we do understand that some parents have unavoidable childcare obligations.
- DISINFECTING: We have increased our cleaning procedures with more frequent disinfection of all surfaces both in our exam rooms and throughout the clinic.
- PATIENCE: Lastly, please be patient with us as we navigate the constant changes. Information and recommendations about COVID-19 change daily. We will continue to communicate any changes or instructions as needed. Thank you!
